The property is
managed to provide an abundance of deer and wild turkeys for
hunters to observe, pursue, and harvest.
World class trophy bucks and long-spurred, old gobblers are highly
prized, therefore the harvesting of certain non-trophy bucks, certain classes of male turkeys in the spring and fall,
and bearded hen turkeys is
not desirable.
However, MissouriPrimeHunts.US
does realize that field judging the quality, measurement, and age of some
individual animals is often difficult. Therefore,
the following harvest rules have been established, along with
“Extra Fees” if you harvest a protected deer or
turkey. Any “Extra
Fees” due are payable prior to your departure.
Fall
Deer
Harvest Rules:
Archery –
buck deer….8 point minimum, with antlers measuring at least 130
inches (gross)…..Extra
fee of $500
in the event you harvest a smaller buck. No trophy fees
charged.
Archery – one
antlerless deer only….try not to harvest button bucks, but no
“extra fee” if you do so.
Your
archery hunt fee entitles you to harvest ONE deer only (buck or
doe).
Firearms –
buck deer….8 point minimum…..with antlers measuring at least 140 inches
(gross)…..Extra
fee of $500
in the event you harvest a smaller buck. No trophy fees
charged.
Firearms – one
antlerless deer only….try not to harvest button bucks, but no
“extra fee” if you do so.
Your
firearms hunt fee entitles you to harvest ONE deer only (buck or
doe).
Fall
Turkey
Harvest Rules:
Shotgun or
Archery…..(young of the year only or adult hen...no turkey
with visible beard). Extra fee for
harvesting any turkey with a visible beard:
$150.
Your
fall turkey hunt fee entitles you to harvest ONE turkey only as
defined above.
Spring
Turkey
Harvest Rules:
Shotgun or Archery…. (adult
gobbler only with visible beard at least 8”
long). Extra fee for
harvesting a bearded male turkey (beard less than 8”), or any bearded hen:
$150.
Your
spring turkey hunt fee entitles you to harvest ONE turkey only
as defined above.
Trophy
Fees: None
Special pricing is available for those wishing to harvest more
than one deer or turkey.
